3. Website use
3.1 It is not necessary to register with us in order to use most of this Website. However, some areas of the Website (the Members’ Area) will be accessible only if you are a registered member of the RWHA.
3.2 This Website may be used for your own private purposes and in accordance with these terms of use. You may print and download material from this website for private, non-commercial use, provided that you do not modify or reproduce this in any way without the RWHA’s prior written consent.
3.3 Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of the material on this Website must always be acknowledged.
3.4 If you breach any of these terms and conditions, your permission to use the Website is automatically terminated and you must destroy any downloaded or printed extracts from the Website.

8. Material submitted by members
8.1 If you submit a company description to our members’ directory, you understand that your entry may be edited for spelling, grammar, punctuation and consistency with the rest of the Website, as well as for compliance with the rules governing Royal Warrants.
8.2 The RWHA has the right to remove, edit or decline to use any material you submit to the Website if, in our opinion, your entry does not comply with reasonable standards.
8.3 The views expressed by members of the RWHA on this website do not represent the RWHA’s views or values.
8.4 When using the Website, and in particular the Members’ Area of the site, you shall not send to this Website any material:
(i) for which you have not obtained all necessary consents;
(ii) that is discriminatory, obscene, defamatory, liable to incite racial hatred, in breach of confidentiality or privacy, which may cause annoyance or inconvenience to others, which encourages or constitutes conduct that would be deemed a criminal offence, give rise to a civil liability, or is otherwise contrary to UK law;
(iii) that is harmful in nature, including, and without limitation, computer viruses, Trojan horses, corrupted data or other potentially harmful software or data;
(iv) that is in breach of the Lord Chamberlain’s Rules or other regulations applicable to Royal Warrant holders.
9. Merchandise purchasing policy
9.1 While all efforts are made to ensure accuracy of description, specifications and pricing of RWHA merchandise and events, there may be occasions where errors arise. Should such a situation occur, the RWHA cannot accept your order. In the event of a mistake, you will be contacted with a full explanation and a corrected offer. The information displayed is considered as an invitation to treat, not as a confirmed offer for sale. The contract is confirmed upon supply of goods.
9.2 Prices and availability of RWHA merchandise items and events are subject to change without notice. The prices advertised for merchandise on this Website are for orders placed and include VAT and delivery within the United Kingdom. However, if you have a special request, such as overseas delivery, please email [email protected] to let us know your requirements.
9.3 You have the right to cancel the purchase of goods, without having to give a reason at any time, within 14 working days, beginning on the day after you receive the goods. If you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. Merchandise found to be used or tampered with by the customer will not be replaced. You must send the goods back to us at your own cost as soon as possible (unless we delivered the item to you in error, or the item is damaged or defective – in which case, please notify us immediately). We strongly recommend that you insure your package that you are returning, and use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery. The RWHA will not be held responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit.
9.4 The RWHA reserve the right to make a charge not exceeding our direct costs of recovering merchandise if you do not return the goods or return them at our expense. Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the contract, any sum debited to us will be refunded to you as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of your cancellation.
9.5 You will not have any right to cancel a purchase for the supply of products made to your specifications or clearly personalised, or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned. If our labels are removed from the product, the warranty becomes void.
9.6 We try very hard to ensure that you receive your merchandise in pristine condition. If you do not receive your goods, or if they arrived in a damaged or faulty condition, please contact Claire Anderson by email: [email protected] or call: 020 7 798 1534.
9.7 Some of the merchandise listed on our Website is supplied by third-party suppliers, and will be clearly listed as such. In these cases, your contract will be with the named third-party supplier – please be sure to read their terms and conditions of sale.
9.8 We try to make the delivery process as easy as possible. We aim to deliver any merchandise being sent from the RWHA within five working days, but please allow up to 10 working days before contacting us. Third party personalised items may take slightly longer, so if it is urgent, please contact us before ordering. Please allow extra time in case of Bank Holidays and over the Christmas period. We will try to contact you if we become aware of any unexpected delays or problems with your order.
9.9 All small merchandise orders are sent out via Standard Royal Mail post. If our order is worth more than £50, it will be sent out via Royal Mail recorded delivery service, which will require a signature. If you are not present at the delivery address after two attempts to deliver your order, a card will be left to advise you to pick up your goods from the local Post Office collection point or rearrange delivery at an extra cost to you.
9.10 We have taken the appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is not unlawfully processed. The RWHA uses industry standard practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including ‘firewalls’ and secure socket layers.
10. Law and jurisdiction
10.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
